A bladder infection which is also referred to as a urinary tract infection happens when the bladder becomes inflamed.  This infection is also known as cystitis and can be  found in both men and women but is more common in women.  Bladder infection causes lies mainly in the bacterial infestation which is known as Escherichia coli (E. Coli) and this bacteria is found in the colon and at times will enter the urethral opening through the skin around the genitals.
