Bladder Infection Causes

A bladder infection which is also referred to as a urinary tract infection happens when the bladder becomes inflamed.  This infection is also known as cystitis and can be  found in both men and women but is more common in women.  Bladder infection causes lies mainly in the bacterial infestation which is known as Escherichia coli (E. Coli) and this bacteria is found in the colon and at times will enter the urethral opening through the skin around the genitals.

Blockage in the bladder is also another major cause of bladder infection in both women and men.  This blockage in the bladder is often caused by bladder or kidney stones.  When this area is blocked, urine is obstructed and the bladder will not be emptied as it should.  Because of this obstruction of the urine in the bladder, the probability  of spreading bacteria in this area would increase and the bacteria can easily be multiplied, causing bladder infection.  This cause of bladder infection is normally the most popular among children and women using diaphragms.
